GILES' GOALS

We spoke about the ideas that Giles had for his bike and the brief was quite short he wanted it to be a bobber and a fork change to a Ducati monster set that he had bought and originally he wanted to run without mudguards.

STARTING OFF

So we set out on this build by designing and manufacturing a set of yokes to hold the Ducati M600 forks and re-spacing the wheel for a new Brembo caliper and disc.

REAR UP!

With the yokes and wheel spacing done, we then concentrated on the rear by removing the seat unit and sub frame, manufacturing a boss to go inside the frame rail we added a small saddle style seat and a new shock set up.

HIDING THE BATTERY

Hiding the battery where the air box once sat was the next move so we could start at wiring using an M-unit blue and small push button switches on the handle bars, indicator and rear light mounts where then manufactured to keep all the lines in close and the rear light sits nicely under the seat with wiring hidden in the frame rails.

HIT THE BRAKES!

The rear brake also needed some attention as the old unit was a bit lacking. We used a Kawasaki ZX6 master cylinder attached to a new Brembo mini caliper and a machined caliper hanger and brake stay.

FRESH PAINT

The time then came to look at paint work, Giles went with the olive green as a nod to his old Land Rover that is in the same colour.

But just before we sent the bike up to Pro Kustom, together we Giles we decided to add mudguards both front and back for a more distinguished look.

FINAL ASSEMBLY

Once Pro-Kustom had worked their magic and we had the parts back, it was time to put it all together ready for Giles!

THE FINAL RESULT

With the paintwork done and any final tweaks made, it was time to reveal the bike to Giles and hope he was as in love with it as we were, *Spoiler* - He was!
